1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
had our wedding, visited the UK, met Tons of awesome people (mostly from LJ!) started, like, a GOOD blog.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
no. i made two and kept neither. next year: same as this year (less picky eater, get my driver's license)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
sarakenobi i think!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
we weren't close until after he died.

5. What countries did you visit?
england and scotland. and the east coast, which is like another country at times.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
driver's license.

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
june 10, because it's my birthday and therefore the most important day of the year. january 11, we had our wedding. september, in ny. and november. and december. especially yesterday. mmmm, boy.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
got my driver's permit. flew solo in the face of abject terror. met sufjan. poked a dead guy's brain.

9. What was your biggest failure?
same as past 2 years: "The distinct lack of good employment and crapping out on my NaNo novel."

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
extended, seemingly endless illness.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
tix to Sufjan Stevens, membership to a CSA

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Adam, Lisa, Michael, Jess & family

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Lord Mulletmort's.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food/rent/utilities, the wedding, airfare.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
poking dead people.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
"Intervention" by Arcade Fire, "No Children" by tMG, "If I could Rock (It Would Feel Like This)" an R. Kelly/Jens mashup.

a) happier or sadder? happier!

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
driving well, reviews for VK

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
driving poorly, worrying

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
at home with Adam, playing board games and drinking eggnog

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
I fell in love again.

just about everything.

to "meat" sufjan. i kid, i kid.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
"knocked up."

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 26. We went to visit wonderwomyn in PDX to see the Rose Parade, but we got rained out.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
no evil bosses!

33.What would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
I attempted to make my own clothes and semi-succeeded, but mostly bought shiny things. and shoes.

34. What kept you sane?
music, Jess, Lisa, Michael, Will, Adam.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
If you can't answer this by now, GET OUT.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Street-Level Replacement for the Viaduct!!!!!!

37. Who did you miss?
I miss Jess already, even though I saw her yesterday.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
It's like a 15-way tie. Believe it or not, meeting Sufjan brought an (almost) equal amount of joy into my life as meeting all you fab eljay-folks IRL: purple_bottle, diskothiq,impatient_hands, robinhoodvandal, vinylqueen12, audesapere. This is not counting how lucky I am to have made so many good friends from efw and sufjan.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Hard work doesn't pay.

seriously, this was the WEIRDEST year ever. AND it keeps getting weirder!
just think! there's still almost 2 weeks for it to get even weirder!!!!
i know - that's what i'm afraid of!
